How to Clean and Care for Your Countertops

Keeping your countertops clean helps protect their finish and extend their lifespan. Different materials require different care, so it’s important to use the right cleaning method.

Acrylic

For everyday cleaning, we recommend Dawn Ultra Dish Soap mixed with warm water. Apply with a soft microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse and dry the surface. Mild dish soap and water are commonly recommended for acrylic solid-surface countertops.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and rough scrubbers. Always use cutting boards and heat pads to help protect the surface.

Porcelain

For porcelain, we recommend Weiman Quartz Clean & Shine. Spray the cleaner onto the countertop and wipe it with a clean, soft cloth.

Although the product is marketed primarily for quartz, Weiman specifically lists porcelain and nonporous hard-surface countertops among its recommended surfaces.

Avoid metal scouring pads and aggressive abrasives, and take care around the edges to prevent chips.

Carrara Marble

For Carrara marble, we recommend Granite Gold Daily Cleaner. It is pH-balanced and specifically formulated for natural stone, including marble.

Spray it onto the surface and wipe dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Clean spills quickly, especially coffee, wine, juice, oils, and acidic foods. Avoid vinegar, lemon juice, and other acidic cleaners.

I Stone

For everyday cleaning, use Dawn Ultra Dish Soap with warm water and a soft cloth.

For deeper or more stubborn stains, Vim PureBoost Multi-Purpose Cleaner with Bleach can be used with extra care. Apply a small amount to a damp sponge, rub gently, rinse thoroughly, and wipe clean promptly. The product contains bleach and cleaning micro-particles.

With regular cleaning and a few simple precautions, your countertops can stay beautiful and in excellent condition for years.
